WRITING THE BREAKOUT NOVEL

Saturday, June 7, 2014

9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Donald Maass, a literary agent at The Donald Maass Literary Agency, sells more than 150 novels every year to major publishers in the U.S. and overseas. He is the author of The Career Novelist, Writing the Breakout Novel, Writing the Breakout Novel Workbook, The Fire in Fiction, and Writing 21st Century Fiction. Mr. Maass presents writing workshops based on his books across the country. He is a past president of the Association of Authors’ Representatives, Inc.

WRITING THE BREAKOUT NOVEL is an intensive, hands-on workshop for fiction writers who want to take their fiction to the next level. By teaching the techniques that make any story feel big, Mr. Maass shows writers the way to get there. Participants should bring a WIP and writing materials.

The workshop, which includes continental breakfast, two coffee breaks, and a box lunch, is $60 for members of Sisters in Crime and $100 for all others. It will be held in Greenwich Village near Union Square in Manhattan (exact address will be provided later). To help us with our planning, please register as soon as possible, and definitely by May 7. A few openings may be available after that date.
