Apply to serve on a committee!
Guild members can support their union by getting involved in committee work. Committees include:
- Awards Committee: Develops the annual Writers Guild Awards show and oversees the awards selection process.
- Activities Committee: Organizes and volunteers at social and networking events, panel discussions, screenings, and other events.
- Daytime Committee: Addresses issues of importance to writers working in Daytime Drama.
- Future Members Committee: Works with the Organizing Department to bring the benefits of membership to professional writers whose work is not yet covered by a Guild contract.
More committees are being developed. Some “classic” committees in the process of being revitalized are Comedy/Variety, Diversity, and New Members.
