Judy Crichton, Producer of “American Experience”, Dies at 77

Judy Crichton was a wise and admired

member of the Writers Guild, East, council until her illness forced her to

resign her a year and a half ago. Not only did she receive several Writers

Guild Awards for her work, in 1998, she was honored with the Guild's Evelyn F.

Burkey Award, presented in recognition of contributions that have brought honor

and dignity to writers everywhere. A good friend, devoted to the Guild, she was

a pillar of editorial sagacity, kindness and support to the entire documentary filmmaking community.
