WGGB/BAFTA Games III – Working with Games Writers

BAFTA and the Writers' Guild of Great Britain present their third event on writing for videogames – Working with Games Writers on Thursday 25th October.

Our panel of top games writing experts, who come from in-house, independent freelance and group freelance perspectives will cover everything you've always wanted to know about games writing, games writers and exactly what goes on in the shadowy world of interactive narrative.

Whether you're a developer looking to work with professional writers in the future, or you're already using them and looking at improving the working relationship, or even if you're a writer looking for tips on how to get into the industry, then this panel will provide all the answers you'd hope for and probably some of the ones you didn't.

Topics covered will include: In-house Vs. Freelance, working in groups, finding the right writer, finding games writing work, integrating writers into a team, defining the role of the writer, deliverables, pre-production, story design, script polishes, rewrites, localisation, marketing, contracts, credits, rates and more!
