On November 20, Executive Director Lowell Peterson told the New York City Council that net neutrality is crucial in protecting the creators of digital content. His testimony, on behalf of the WGAE, supported Resolution 712-A, which "calls upon the Federal Communications Commission to codify strong network neutrality principles in order to ensure that the Internet will continue to foster innovation, increase competition, and spur economic growth as well as making the Internet faster and more affordable for all."
