Norman Steinberg, Co-Writer of “Blazing Saddles”: Do You Have What it Takes to Write for TV?

Do you have what it takes to write for TV? Find out from a pro, legendary screenwriter/producer Norman Steinberg, whose film and TV credits include “Blazing Saddles,” “My Favorite Year,” “Johnny Dangerously,” “Cosby,” “When Things Were Rotten,” “Doctor, Doctor” and Showtime’s “Paradise.” Steinberg, who will head the new TV Writers Studio at Long Island University ’s Brooklyn Campus, will talk about the highlights of his career and provide a behind-the-scenes look at the TV industry. Participants will learn about the campus’ M.F.A. program in writing and producing for television and can submit their writing samples for critique and evaluation as part of the screening process for possible acceptance into the program. A reception will follow during which attendees will have the opportunity to talk with Steinberg and to meet and mingle with local writers.
