2011 Writers Guild Awards Schedule

New York and Los Angeles – The Writers Guild of America, East (WGAE) and the Writers Guild of America, West (WGAW) have announced that the 2011 Writers Guild Awards will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at simultaneous ceremonies in New York and Los Angeles to honor outstanding writing in film, television, news, radio, promotional, and graphic animation awards categories.

2010-2011 MEDIA TIMELINE 

TV eligibility period:

Long Form, Episodic, Animation, and Children’s script categories:

First broadcast between Dec 1, 2009 and Nov 30, 2010

All other script categories:

First broadcast between Oct 1, 2009 and Sep 30, 2010

Screen eligibility period:

Theatrically exhibited in Los Angeles for at least one week during 2010

OCTOBER

Fri. Oct 15                  Deadline for submissions: TV-Radio Award scripts

Fri. Oct 15                  Deadline for online submissions: Drama/Comedy/New TV Series

Tues. Oct 26              Preliminary Drama/Comedy/New TV Series online voting begins

NOVEMBER

Fri. Nov 19                  Deadline for submissions: Theatrical Screenplays

 

Tues. Nov 23              Deadline for Documentary Screenplay and Videogame Writing
