(June 25) Michael Arndt’s ENDINGS: THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE INSANELY GREAT Screening & Discussion

Join screenwriter Michael Arndt for a screening of the new video version of his lecture: ENDINGS: THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE INSANELY GREAT. In this cinematic version of an Austin Film Festival favorite, Arndt explores how great endings work with a close analysis of the climaxes of STAR WARS, THE GRADUATE, and his own screenplay, LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE. The screening will be followed by an extended Q&A with Arndt.

(July 16) TV PILOTS RESURRECTED

Join us for a live reading of two scripts, a drama and a comedy, written for the small screen. Two WGAE members will have their previously unproduced television pilots professionally directed and staged for a reading using guild actors in front of an audience at the New York Television Festival on July 16, 2018. The winners and finalists will also get the benefits of being Official Artists at the festival.
