Join WGA-Brooklyn for a conversation with Gillian Robespierre and Elisabeth Holm, the team behind last year’s award-winning independent film OBVIOUS CHILD. New York Observer‘s Drew Grant will moderate.

OBVIOUS CHILD is the story of a stand-up comedian who gets pregnant during a drunken one-night stand and decides to have an abortion. The film premiered at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Red Crown Producer’s Award. Upon its June 2014 theatrical release, Cosmopolitan called OBVIOUS CHILD “the summer’s most important movie.” The film would go on to be nominated for two 2015 Independent Spirit Awards, including Best First Feature.

Robespierre and Holm are currently working on a single-camera comedy pilot for FX Network with OBVIOUS CHILD’s star Jenny Slate.
