When will I receive notice that my script has been registered?

The Registration Certificate which includes the Registration Number will be sent to you by email or US Postal Mail within 3 business days. You should keep your registration confirmation receipt in a safe place because you may need it for future reference.

What happens if I don't properly submit my registration?

If you submit your material incorrectly, you will be advised by mail how to correct your registration submission. If your script is returned to you, you MUST return it.

Does my co-author need to be present if I register in person?

No, but you must bring his/her signature and government issued I.D. number in order for it to be registered. If the co-author's signature and/or government issued I.D. number are not on the envelope, you may bring it on a separate piece of paper which will be attached to the registration envelope.

Can I register under my pen name?

No, you MUST register under your legal name.

Can a production company be named as the registrant?

No.
