Join us each Friday in June as celebrate Pride Month at a series of live talks with LGBTQ+ writers telling LGBTQ+ stories, presented in partnership with the WGAE LGBTQ Salon. SESAME STREET writer and OnWriting host Geri Cole will conduct the interviews live on Zoom. Audience members will be invited to submit questions during the interview, and each talk will be recorded for a future episode of OnWriting: A Podcast of the Writers Guild of America, East.
For our second week, we’re joined by Nikole Beckwith, writer and director of the 2021 Sundance Film Festival hit TOGETHER TOGETHER. Through the window of a person who uses a surrogate to begin a family, this comedy-drama explores the idea of chosen family and has been praised as “queer cinema at its best.”
