A panel discussion with Hollywood storytellers and climate leaders about the range of possible climate futures and how entertainment might help us see, feel and build the future we want.
Join us at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival + the NRDC IMPACT LOUNGE on February 2, 2021, at 11 a.m. PST // 2 p.m. EST for a unique panel of Hollywood storytellers and climate leaders discussing the range of possible climate futures, as well as how entertainment can help us see, feel, and build the future we want.
This free virtual event aims to offer a different perspective on entertainment futurism besides disaster and apocalypse. Dystopian horror may be what awaits us if we fail to respond to the climate crisis. But it’s not the only possibility. A cultural zeitgeist of doom may be inhibiting climate progress. So how can we call for a rapid transition to a thriving, equitable future unless we know what that looks like and understand how we might get there? Those entertainment stories seen by many can help us not only avoid the worst, but also embrace and collectively work toward the best of all future worlds.
Registration is required for this event.
