A workshop on biodiversity & enhancing representation in film & TV with World Wildlife Fund’s Chief Scientist Rebecca Shaw, and Lead WWF Science Communicator, Amy Fallah.
Nature loss, also known as biodiversity loss, is an urgent environmental crisis. Join WWF for an inspiring workshop that equips writers with the tools they need to write impactful storylines that incorporate biodiversity themes into their storytelling. With WWF’s Living Planet Report 2024 revealing a staggering 73% decline in wildlife populations over the past 50 years, it’s more crucial than ever to reach different audiences and raise awareness through film and TV. In this workshop, WWF’s Chief Scientist, Rebecca Shaw, and lead WWF science communicator, Amy Fallah, will share how the loss of biodiversity around the world is directly impacting the places and species we care about, and discuss effective communication strategies for weaving complex environmental issues into engaging narratives. Participants will also spend time workshopping these themes into upcoming projects that can inspire audiences and drive positive change. Don’t miss this opportunity to elevate your storytelling and contribute to a future where film and TV shape a more informed, action-driven world.
