Write What You Want to Write
If you could say ANYTHING to the entire world, what would it be? Screenwriting is still one of the most visible, potent, far-reaching ways to change the world. In this class, you’ll learn all-new techniques to clarify, articulate, and amplify what you’re actually passionate about—from on-the-nose (message movies) to subtle (big action/tentpole projects), and everything in between. Use this innovative creative approach to start with your message, then build outward from there!
Some of the topics and techniques we’ll cover include:
- Stop following trends and start exploring topics YOU care about
- 5 methods to “camouflage” a powerful lesson within any genre
- Tried-and-true techniques to make your specific story a universal one
- Create memorable characters who embody the OPPOSITE of your beliefs
- 7 simple ways to intensify your lead’s unique journey
- Expand your pie-in-the-sky message into a crisis-driven plot
- Use a visual dilemma to crystalize your theme (without being saccharine)
…and a whole lot more. Hope to see you there!
