What's a writer's role on set? How do I read a call sheet? What's the protocol on correcting actors? When's a good time to run to the honeywagon? What's a honeywagon?

For many TV writers and some screenwriters, being in production on their script means hours (and hours and hours) spent on set. Knowing how to behave, function and be useful on set has traditionally been a key part of advancing through the writer ranks. But thanks to the rise of minirooms, Covid and other changes in the industry, writers are being denied this critical on-set experience.

WGA East presents a one-hour panel of top TV writers with extensive set knowledge to help fill that gap. The event will be hosted by Tian Jun Gu, WGAE Council member, and Lisa Takeuchi Cullen, WGAE Vice President for Film, TV, and Streaming.
