Join your fellow Guild members for Second Wednesdays with the WGAE.
Come gather for Scripted Forum Bagels & Coffee @ 10 AM. Make connections, complain about the industry, and consume unholy amounts of caffeine. This is not a vibes check! Network and talk business with fellow writers from all levels and sectors of our industry over free coffee and bagels. We promise actually excellent bagels — quality of coffee is open to interpretation.
Then @ 11 AM stay for a Wednesday Workshop. This month, the Wednesday Workshop topic is Writing for Late Night.
Late night television is one of the most distinct corners of our industry, a whole different world than scripted content. Guild members are invited to a Scripted Forum to learn about the journey to, the culture of, and moving beyond writing for LATE NIGHT.
Join panelists Greg Iwinski (Late Night with Stephen Colbert, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver), Josh Gondelman (Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Desus and Mero), Julia Young (Desus and Mero) and Natasha Vaynblat (The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon) for a candid conversation about writing for shows where commentary, comedy, and culture collide.
