Join your fellow Guild members for Second Wednesdays with the WGAE.
First, come gather for Scripted Forum Bagels & Coffee @ 10 AM. Make connections, complain about the industry, consume unholy amounts of caffeine.
Then, stay for Wednesday Workshops @ 11 AM—craft-focused interactive workshops on structure across genres, led by fellow union writers with experience in their genre. Hands-on, practical guides to structure. In a confidential space where writers can truly share industry experience without fear of repercussions.
This month, we’re discussing How the WGA East is Meeting the Moment (and how you can fight back too).
If you feel like writers are under attack—you’re not alone. We’re all feeling battered after a barrage of attacks on free speech, the future of writing, and our basic humanity.
Come channel your fear into action. In a time when lots of people are feeling disenfranchised in our political system—but where collective action is needed more than ever—labor can be a home and a beacon for how to meet this moment in history.
