Learn the Basics of the new Minimum Basic Agreement
Join WGAE Director of Contract Enforcement and Credits Geoff Betts to learn about the Minimum Basic Agreement (MBA) and, in particular, its recently negotiated new terms for writers in film, television and new media.
The MBA is the union contract that sets the industry standard for writers’ wages, benefits, credits, residuals, creative rights and working conditions int the entertainment industry. It is negotiated every three years with major studios/producers who make up the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP), and it must be followed by all WGA signatory companies.
