Diagnose Your Screenwriting Weaknesses... Then Demolish Them!

No matter what your experience level, preferred genre, or strongest skill, everyone has some weaker aspects of their writing. Those might include outlining, character arcs, dialogue, structure, endings, Act 2, punchlines, or a host of other issues. Learn how to instantly recognize those areas of concern, then turn them into strengths—making yourself a superb all-around writer.

Some of the topics and techniques we’ll cover include:

  • 2 simple quizzes that’ll reveal your own blind spots…and your secret strengths
  • The key difference between “unlikable” and “unrootable” characters—why one is box-office gold and the other is studio poison
  • Eliminate these 10 all-too-common screenplay gimmicks ASAP
  • Make the (almost universally reviled) outlining process one of your superpowers in the room
  • Turn the behemoth of Act 2 into the most eagerly anticipated section of your script
  • Games to transform your scenes from laborious backstory into sellable setpieces
  • 3 entertaining exercises to unleash an unforgettable lead—and an equally memorable antagonist

…and a whole lot more. Hope to see you there!
