The Writers Guild of America, East presents excerpts from two new scripts:

Interviews with the writers will follow each reading, conducted by award-winning television writer and producer Michael Winship.

The readings will be cast using union actors by Bettina Bilger and directed by WGAE member and Activities Committee Chairperson Susane Lee.

Drama 

THE LONG VIEW, written by Jennifer Mayer

When Charlotte, a 45-year-old recovering alcoholic, runs out of options, she breaks her estranged father out of his assisted living facility and embarks on a reluctant journey to repair their strange and complicated relationship.

Comedy

THE NOONAN AGENCY, written by Dan Hannon

THE NOONAN AGENCY is a fun, old-school romantic comedy about a man who has been cheated on in all of his past relationships and now works as a private detective helping to reveal the disloyalty of others. On one job, the right woman changes his outlook.
