Come cheer on your fellow Guild members!
The WGAE Softball team is back with a COVID-safe 2021 season. The league starts the week of May 3rd, and games will be played in Central Park throughout the summer on a weekday evening. It’s a slow pitch co-ed league and the team is a bunch of easy-going, fun fellow writers. We’re not the best team – so don’t worry about your skill level – but we all enjoy a good game and cap the night off with some camaraderie and bar food.
A note on COVID-19 guidelines for spectators:
The current New York policy for spectators at sporting events is to “limit spectators to no more than 2 spectators per player or the State’s social gathering limit.”
As long as spectators follow the latest CDC guidelines for social distancing and masking, spectators are welcome to come and cheer on their fellow members. We will continue to monitor the city and state guidelines for in-person gatherings, and will update the policies for spectators as the season progresses.
