The Writers Guild of America, East

Invites you and guests to attend
our official New York Film Festival Talk

Join the Writers Guild of America, East for a celebration of writers who understand that New York City is more than the quintessential urban landscape, more even than a state of mind. New York is a supporting character in the stories these writers tell. New York is a foil for the other characters in their stories. Those characters have a relationship with New York, an object of affection, consternation, fear and inimitable beauty.

Our official New York Film Festival live talk features J.C. Chandor (MARGIN CALL, A MOST VIOLENT YEAR), Geoffrey Fletcher (PRECIOUS, VIOLET & DAISY), Elisabeth Holm & Gillian Robespierre (OBVIOUS CHILD, LANDLINE) and Steven Zaillian (THE IRISHMAN, GANGS OF NEW YORK). The talk will be moderated by Paul Schrader.
