Susie Essman to Host Writers Guild Awards in New York

NEW YORK CITY –  Susie Essman will host the 62nd annual Writers Guild of America Awards’ New York ceremony. The awards will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at New York City ’s Hudson Theatre.

Comedienne, actress and author, Susie Essman plays the lovably caustic Susie Green on the HBO comedy series Curb Your Enthusiasm. Her character’s withering sarcasm and uninhibited insults are a hilarious staple of the acclaimed show. Susie’s TV credits include headlining her own HBO comedy special, as well as numerous appearances on Late Night with Conan O’Brien and The View. She has acted in many films, most recently Disney’s animated movie Bolt as the voice of Mittens the Cat.

Off screen, Essman has been doing stand-up for more than 25 years. She recently added published author to her list of accomplishments with her new book, What Would Susie Say?  Bullsh*t Wisdom About Love, Life and Comedy, released by Simon & Schuster.

The  62nd annual Writers Guild Awards will take place on Saturday, February 20, 2010 in New York City at the Hudson Theatre in the Millennium Broadway Hotel and simultaneously in Los Angeles at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel.
