Candidate for Council, Online Media Sector
Hello! Here are some things to know about me!
- I was on the bargaining committee and social media committee for Hearst Union as we bargained our first contract. I helped empower my coworkers so they could gain the raises they deserved. I also worked to defend them whenever our bosses would unjustly bully or punish them.
- I was a shop steward and a co-chair of our union until I was laid off in November 2024.
- I currently run a storytelling show called Workers Comp featuring stories from the workplace. We also interview a union organizer to highlight the work they’ve done.
I am running for this council seat because I love our union. I want to help us protect our industry from hedge fund dorks. I want to find new ways for us to come together. The capitalists have all the money but we have each other and that’s more than enough power to change everything. And if that does not appeal to you then you are in luck because our entire roster of online council candidates are literal union legends! What matters most to me is that you all vote for the person you believe in.
Thanks for reading this far and thanks for being here.
