ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF THE PRACTICE, Writing for Television (Drama), College of Communication

About the Position

The Department of Film and Television at Boston University’s College of Communication is seeking an Associate Professor of the Practice in the area of writing for Television with an emphasis on scripted drama.

Duties require teaching three courses (or multiple sections of one course) per semester, at the undergraduate and graduate level. Possible courses would include offerings in the Television writing curriculum such as Writing One-Hour Drama or Writing Television Pilots.  Department faculty are also encouraged to propose and develop new courses in their field of expertise.

Required Skills

Qualified applicants will be distinguished practitioners with a national reputation and an enthusiasm for teaching.  An advanced degree and teaching experience at the university level is preferred.
