The Writers Guild of America, East is urging the Obama Administration and Congress to increase appropriations for public broadcasting. WGAE leaders met with members of President Obama’s staff, the New York Congressional delegation, as well as other key appropriators and supporters in Washington D.C. to discuss the need for federal funding and other public broadcasting issues.
